One of our core beliefs is that the best way to build a strong community is to hire local businesses. In turn, those local businesses give back to their communities, coming full circle. So we love this story about a Wisconsin cleaning company, K-tech Kleening, who brought together employees, friends, and families to donate 400 boxes of food to people in need this holiday season.
As Craig Kersemeir, president of K-tech Kleening, said, “When a group of people come together, they can definitely make a difference.” Jim Nick, who volunteered both his time and car for the food drive, said, “You’re helping someone that you don’t know, who’s never going to do anything for you, but it’s the joy of the season and that’s what makes it all worthwhile.”
This demonstrates what we believe in 100% – that it’s necessary to support local businesses, whether cleaning company or bookstore or hardware shop. Those neighbors you keep in business care about your community and participate in the circle of giving.
